Road Closures

A64 Eastbound resurfacing near Whitwell on the Hill.

From 6 July 2023 we are carrying out essential maintenance work on a section of the A64 Eastbound near Whitwell on the Hill.

Work is due to start on Thursday 6 July and continue until Friday 21 July. We will be closing the road between Barton Hill and east of Crambeck overnight (8pm to 6am) Monday to Saturday.

We will not be working on Saturday or Sunday nights.

A signed diversion suitable for all traffic will be in place with road users advised to leave the A64 at Hopgrove and use the A19 and A170. A local diversion will also be available to local residents. Where necessary, pedestrians will be assisted through the work area.

We are pleased to have been able to bring this work forward so that we can complete it ahead of the school summer holidays and reduce disruption for the travelling public.
