Lara graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2013 and worked in small animal practice before completing an internship at Endell Equine Hospital in Salisbury. After time working at a charity hospital in Egypt she moved to Yorkshire, spending two years working in first opinion practice where she developed an interest in internal medicine. She is well on the way towards a certificate of advanced veterinary practice and is especially interested in geriatric medicine, critical care and ophthalmology and has a soft spot for donkeys and Shetlands!
Lauren graduated from Liverpool University in 2010 and after a short stint in mixed practice completed an internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in California, where she developed a keen interest in equine medicine. For the last 4 years Lauren has been working as an ambulatory equine vet in the South East of England whilst working towards her certificate in advanced veterinary practice (equine internal medicine). She started a residency in equine medicine in October, and will be based at The University of Glasgow but will spent periods of time at Ranbow. Lauren has special interests in all things medicine, including parasitology, endocrinopathies and neonatal intensive care. In her spare time she enjoys agility and long walks with her two dogs, and the odd scuba diving trip (ideally in warm waters)!
Rachel Agass re-joins us as part of a shared surgery residency with the University of Glasgow. Rachel was an intern at Rainbow prior to spending some time in the ambulatory team before most recently working at the well know and respected Bendigo Equine Hospital in Victoria. We are very much looking forward to having her back. She will spend 6-month blocks rotating between Glasgow and Rainbow and will be involved in all areas of lameness and surgery.
