Laura Hargreaves

Laura recently graduated from the University of Nottingham. Before graduating Laura completed several externships at equine hospitals across the UK, including here at Rainbow. It was at this point she realised she wanted to start her career as a part of the Rainbow team. When not working, Laura enjoys spending time with her horse Billy, and has competed in show jumping and eventing for many years.

Martin Rybar

After being born and raised in Slovakia, Martin graduated from the University of Veterinary and Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice. Martin’s professional equine career started with Coolmore, working several breeding seasons in the USA, Ireland and New Zealand. After his initial career with Coolmore he joined Fethard Equine Hospital in Ireland, he then moved onto Saudi Arabia and Qatar where he worked as a stud manager and veterinarian. After missing green fields and the thoroughbred industry he returned to Kentucky last year to complete an internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute before joining the team here at Rainbow. In his free time, Martin enjoys fishing, travelling, playing sport and spending time with friends and family.

Claire Hopkins

Claire graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh in 2016. Prior to joining the team at Rainbow  she worked in ambulatory equine practice in Buckinghamshire. Claire completed a degree in Physiology at Bristol University before embarking on her veterinary career.  She has specific interests in internal medicine and anaesthesia, and is looking forward to developing skills in these areas whilst at Rainbow. Claire has grown up with horses and now enjoys playing polo when not at work.

Immy Thomas

Imogen joined the Rainbow after graduating from the University of Nottingham early summer 2017. She has always had a keen interest in equine practice and has completed equine externships in various parts of the UK and at the Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Kentucky, USA. Imogen has an interest in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery and hopes to gain valuable skills in these areas over the course of her internship. Outside work Imogen enjoys cycling and running, and has competed up to national level in showjumping with her horse Orthello.
